Great pack. Held about 15 T-shirts (xxl), 4 pair of pants, miscellaneous boxers and a few toiletries bags. Held up well for 2 weeks in the Philippines. Nice looking too. Not bad for the price.
Dobra DobrI just received this backpack, so I have yet to take it out hiking. However, just from looking at it, I really like it. The sleeping bag compartment at the bottom is separate from the top part and fits my hiking books inside. The top part it really spacious, which is great since I will be using it on a three week trip around Asia. And the rain cover will also come in handy since I am going in rainy season. The only thing that I am worried about are the buckles. They are made of plastic and seem like they might break easily. But still, a really great product for the price.a
Purchased this as a cheap starter pack as I begin to help at a local Scouts BSA Troop. Took it to IOLS and it worked great. Been through two campout a now with it. I can see where this doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of many other packs and the volume wouldn’t suit for lengthier camping but for a two night venture, it works great. Handing it down to my daughter who just earned Webelos rank. It will be a good pack for her to start with.
Whiny husband complained about our backpacks being uncomfortable during hikes. He wanted something lightweight, with good straps, with weight distribution via chest straps and waist straps. And lots of pockets. And waterproof. And... blah blah blah.
This bag had it all. AND it was under $100. It happened to arrive the morning of a double trail hike, so we shifted our gear over, and whoa! It holds the load of 2 backpacks, including 4- 32oz water bottles, both hoodies and rain coats of 2 little kids and 2 adults, emergency gear including an emergency medical kit for 5 (solar blanket, flashlight, knife, etc.), emergency clothes, snacks for 3 kid with huge appetites, dog food, etc. It held it ALL.
I thought it was going to weigh a ton, but it was actually comfortable enough that I could carry it.
I loved the bag so much that I am now purchasing another one.
